Your main pressure control but low pressure range.
I bought this for use on a rainwater booster pump designed solely for sprinkler service but be aware that the 40psi maximum pressure rating is quite low for a typical plumbing system, especially if you have to start something uphill. My fountain is currently running at 60psi and even then I'm not getting much flow from the hoses etc.
