Review on ๐Ÿ”„ 15 Ounce Luster's S Curl Texturizer Regular Strength by Anita Golladay

Good for shrinking and softening coarse hair

I REALLY need this. I wear my 4C curly hair "naturally" and with the drier fall weather it has suddenly become very shriveled and difficult to curl and comb through without too much breakage. I was less looking for a straightener and more for something to pull out the roots. and soften the rest of the hair. That's great. It's not too strong and if you leave it for a very short time it will become tender. It didn't make me lose my natural curl pattern, but it did soften and lengthen the curls. I didn't apply them to the ends, instead leaving them just above the roots and about an inch from the root. Much, much cheaper to buy this jet than to buy a kit. I will be able to use this glass at least 4 more times - at least. The only thing I wish they had included at least a pair of gloves. Luckily I had a few and I already have a neutralizing shampoo. One more thing: Depending on your hair type, be prepared to do a DEEP conditioning immediately after shampooing. This can be very drying to your hair if you don't apply conditioner and seal your hair right after styling. Once I did that, I could apply my usual moisturizer and leave it on the next day. My hair feels good and looks a lot better. Some people think you're not "natural" by using this, but I see it as a gentle solution to making my hair easier to comb. My natural curls are still there, just easier to manage and don't break constantly.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
