I have been using this type of popcorn for almost 20 years. I recently bought a new one because I accidentally left popcorn unattended in the microwave for too long. Stupid misstake. I add a quarter cup of oil free popcorn and it pops great every time. Oil can be added but I don't need it. In the last few years I've counted 15 or 16 kernels that haven't cracked. Every microwave is unique, so watch out for slow pops, and if there's about two seconds or more between pops, it's time to stop before the popcorn burns. Once you know how long it takes in your dedicated microwave, you can make the perfect popcorn every time. The bowl is very easy to clean and I've never had any problems with the lid warping as some have mentioned. I find this method of cooking corn easier than using an air popper.
