I bought these because I was tired of storing enough of those plastic fly swatters for one season. I bought some old woven mesh and they lasted much longer, but the wrinkled paper wore out after a few seasons and the mess started to unravel. These are undoubtedly much better, but there are a few issues. i) The wire used for the handle is too thick which eliminates any flexibility of the handle resulting in excessive wear of the "leather" working part. 2) "Leather" part of the swatter. I doubt this part is real leather. Mine appears to be made from Naugahyde-type material. Given these issues, they are vastly superior to any plastic swatter I've tried, and I expect they will last for many seasons.
