I bought two other brands of pencils to try with the iPad, one and the other for $17. This was a much better pen. It worked right away and writes very smooth, thin lines. Tilting it makes the lines thicker, and while it's not pressure sensitive, I don't need it anyway. I like the ease of use and the lack of Bluetooth. Even fits in my small pencil holder so I don't have to worry about losing it. I wish the charging port had a permanent cap - I'm nervous about losing the little bump, but that's only a minor downside for a very affordable apple pencil alternative. The two additional clues are a big bonus. I've only been using it for a day, but so far I like it. Will update in a few months when I really get to work homeschooling my child. It should also be noted that they capture reviews by offering Amazon credit, but that didn't affect this review at all. This is my honest and unbiased review whether you give me credit or not.
