What a cute, fun hat. I ordered this for my teenage granddaughter and she loves it. I chose gray and it looks exactly as expected from the pictures in the product description. The color is soft, a very pretty shade that goes well with many of my granddaughter's pieces. The hat itself is knitted in a beautiful check pattern with a top and bottom pattern of tiny squares. It looks and feels very soft. The voluminous faux fur trim is light but deep and very fluffy. Inside the hat there is a very soft lining with a short pile. All these layers make the hat very warm. The hat looks massive, but mainly because of the faux fur; The hat is actually quite light and fits very well. It's good for the ears. The back of the hat is V-shaped. It's snug enough to stay in place, yet stretchy enough to fit almost anyone. The four pom poms are very fluffy and soft - the cores of the pom poms weren't quite round, but I pressed them down with heavy books for a day or two and they're fine now. The hat is quite well made, but there are a few flaws: one of the pom-poms attached to the top of the hat has a few strands sticking out, and the ends of the strands of both pom-poms hanging down the sides have hard edges . which can be felt (but not seen) through the down. The composition of the fabric is not specified in the product description and the label with this information is not sewn to the cap. It's not quite a five star product in terms of build quality and materials but it's quite adorable and my granddaughter is happy to have it and will wear it many times. The current price of $18.99 seems a bit high.
