None of the items have a fabric composition label. The shorts are not black as shown in the listing. They are brown/olive. There is an elastic waistband. There are no pockets or ties. The stitching leaves a lot to be desired, especially on the inside edge where the stitching is uneven and doesn't grab the fabric in one spot at all. On the shirt, the stitching is also not very good and there are a few spots of a very white color. due to blurred graphics on a blue background. The fabric of the shirt is like a cotton blend, not 100% cotton. Both items are machine washable and dry without shrinking or fading. My almost 4 year old son wears a size 4T and I ordered him that size. Both parts fit him well in length and width. The shorts reach just below the knees.
