I have used Moog for all my steering components and this is where I only had one issue with them. Worst of all, I found out after I was ready to tighten the nut! The nut tightened only about 25% of the first turn. Thinking I might have a burr from the assembly, I started overthreading the threads, so I unscrewed it completely. I couldn't find any burrs or signs of cross threads, and unfortunately I couldn't find my thread gauge. The next day I took it with me and took some measurements. The ball joint shaft was M10x1.5 and the nut was M10x1.75. Trying to find a M10x1.5 castellated nut is impossible and I considered using the original nylock nut but luckily Ace had M10x1.5 zinc plated nylock nuts. . I know the class isn't that tough, but I had to put the car back together. The bag was factory sealed with all accessories, so it came out of the factory that way. Finding someone to talk to on Moog is next to impossible. It doesn't matter now because I have to disassemble the wishbone and knuckle to remove the nut. I need to inspect and if the nut starts to show wear or corrosion or I need fatigue again next year I will replace the ball joint. If the bag was opened or the box showed signs of tampering, I would check the fit. instantly! 10 second fix in the future.
