My boyfriend and I got a MayTag JetClean Portable Dishwasher from his brother for Christmas - Quiet Pack and the hose was quite old and frayed. The drain clamp no longer "jams" the faucet. This hose looked almost exactly like the one I wanted but black so I figured it was the same. When it arrived the drain collar was the right size and the metal threaded end was the right size but the other hose didn't have a flared end like the old hose so it didn't fit the plastic part needed to connect I tried boiling the end with water / Lighter to heat but couldn't get it to slip off. I ended up cutting the flared end off the old hose and used a brass coupler (3/4" x 3/4") and some zip ties to connect the two ends, which seemed to work. Just remember to add another clamp to the flared end to secure it to the plastic part you want it to go to (you can see in the picture I forgot to do this and the pressure blew off the hose and I did the whole thing pipe filled with water). ). Floor -_-). For this hose you will also need a faucet adapter that is compatible with your kitchen faucet. I ordered one here from Revain called the Plumb Pak Faucet Aerator Adapter PP28003 - it has a rib to clamp the teeth of the drain clamp to, unlike the other 7 adapters I got from Home Depot. Unfortunately, the faucet adapter does not fit. our kitchen faucet, so I ended up taking the adapter to Home Depot. I asked a member of staff if they could help me find a compatible faucet and he was kind enough to unscrew the display aerators so I knew which one would fit. (You might not have to grab a worker if you can unscrew them by hand, but those suction cups were so tight he had to use a clamp to unscrew them.) I ended up buying a Moen kitchen faucet for about $40. The hose works great! There are no leaks and it stays flush with the adapter. Remember, if you have an old dishwasher/faucet, look out for these things. 4 stars only for generally being a pain to figure everything out on my own.
