The design of this heater is non-functional. It looks good and I like the flat surface so any cup fits in, but the capacitive touch buttons aren't in a good place. Unfortunately, if you place a mug on top of the heater, there's a good chance the mug will turn off the heater or adjust the temperature on its own. To use this properly, you need to lean the cup on the other end of the hot plate, which means it's a bit unbalanced and can tip over easily. This also keeps part of your cup out of the heat zone. When you want to turn your device on or off, it might take a few taps for it to recognize your press, although it does with a coffee cup. Since the power button is located between small rubber feet, pressing this area of the heating pad is intended to tilt the entire plate. Do not turn this warmer on and off with a mug on it or it could become unbalanced and spill. I will choose another hotplate with either a more traditional base or a physical power switch. . This design doesn't work.
