I have this on my car because my father has had the misfortune of hitting a few deer over the years (fortunately without injury) and I want to avoid the same to have . When I'm going over 20 mph (especially in the wind) and especially after 30, I can hear the whistle these things make. When driving on open roads with wildlife, I see deer and other animals look up before I approach them (not when driving past, which would be too late). Sounds are very noticeable to them and alert them to your presence, which is especially useful at night when you have less time to react if someone gets in your way. I feel a lot better with them on my car and for the price it's more than worth it.
