Review on πŸ‘ Peachtree Audio M24 Bamboo-Powered Speakers (Pair) by Tammy Harris

Good speakers if you need remote and optical sound

I am using an AudioEngine A2+ on my desktop setup and I really like it. I tested them while assembling my TV setup and they work great, but they don't have a remote control. Therefore, all sound settings must be made manually. They also have no optical sound. They really are built like computer speakers and are great for that. So, looking for a similar kit that could offer good stereo sound, optical sound, built-in DAC and volume control, I settled on the Peachtree Audio M24. I don't regret my purchase and I don't think I could get anything better without spending a lot more. The build quality is good. The base is enough to not need a subwoofer (although one can be added). The sound is also good for the price. However, they have an unnecessary and annoying disadvantage. If you connect multiple audio sources with the AudioEngine A2+, they all play at the same time. It is not necessary to switch the inputs. This is an amazing feature. So using them, I can, for example, listen to a podcast while playing a video game. That doesn't work with the Peachtree Audio M24 and I don't understand why either. It even makes remote control more difficult because you have to choose which input you use. Just make them active! The Bluetooth function is completely useless if I can't use it while I'm doing something else. If AudioEngine ever adds a remote control to their speakers I'll switch to them because I'm so used to using multiple inputs at once. The Peachtree Audio M24 is a good choice if you need a remote control. If you're using a desktop setup and don't need a remote control or optics, I recommend the AudioEngine A2+. Either better than soundbars. I bought one first and wasn't happy with the stereo separation.
