I bought these shoes before a river trip a few years ago. THAT'S GREAT. They lasted a long time and the only reason I bought these yellow ones was because I wanted a new color haha. My older pair started fraying on their toes from scratching them on rocks and such while hiking, but they still had no holes. These shoes are like socks but with just enough sole so you can walk on gravel with ease. It really is like walking barefoot. Also, these are the only water shoes I've worn that will NOT allow a bunch of dirt in the shoe, requiring you to constantly take it off to empty it or just deal with the irritant. You can play on the beach with minimal sand between your toes. Deeply impressed by it. So if you are half a size smaller I recommend that they fit snugly otherwise the sock's ability to keep things out may not work as well.
