Works very well in Southern California. I bought it for a workout in our outdoor pool. Even on sunny days, the water can be uncomfortably cold. So far I've used it in winter and spring. For added comfort, I wear a polyester/spandex t-shirt with long sleeves for UV protection. The sizing chart works really well if you base the size on your waist, let alone your height. I'm 5ft 7in, waist 36 and LARGE fits me very well. This wetsuit allows me to do long pool workouts like swimming 1250 meters a day. Yes, I lost all the weight I needed to lose weight!
