Review on CalDigit Storage External Drive Enclosure by Steven Harmon

I bought two of these from Revain to fit 2.5" SSDs for use with a 2018 MacBook Pro. transmission speed. However, what isn't mentioned and you won't know until you read the box it comes in is that it's an older generation of USB C Gen 1, which is limited to 5Gbps and not up to the current 10 Gb/s USB C and definitely not 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3. If he had mentioned the actual maximum transfer rate of 5 Gb/s or Gen 1 USB C I wouldn't have ordered it. For that reason I recommend Don't do this if you're concerned about the full USB-C 10Gbps transfer rate.
