I knew what I was buying. The size fits perfectly with the space I have and the photo sizes and orientation I need. I've been looking for a quality frame that has these exact specs for a long time to no avail, so I'm going to make this frame work. It's not a bad frame, but you don't get any benefit - you get what you pay for, and an identical quality frame will likely cost at least $15-$30 more. (Unfortunately I haven't found any that are good enough to work with). Remember that glass is Plexiglas - PLASTIC. It scratches easily over time and can fog up, so handle it with care. (I will replace it with glass). "Wood" is cheap and I have to paint over a few (rather small) spots where the glue in the corners has ruined the finish of the frame. The hinges are cheap if you look closely, but they're not too flashy. However, the sections are a bit off. not so much that the balance is upset when the frame sits on the surface. It becomes a little visible when I add a hanger to hang it on the wall, but it's not enough to check the integrity of the wood when I remove the hinge and align the frames properly, so I'll live with that . The carpeting on the 5x7 section looks nice (doesn't feel premium but looks nice through the plexiglass) and gives the frame a more premium look. I personally like 5x7 with matting and 4x6 without.
