For unknown reasons, the water meter and switch fell off. There are no real problems. This coffee maker aims to allow you to pull out the pot before the brewing process is complete to get a cup of coffee. Only works for the first few brews. My old coffee maker couldn't do that, so I bought this one. The "boiler” heats the water longer. I could brew a cup in 3 minutes on my old B&D coffee maker, but it takes 5 minutes on this model. The boiler puffs and puffs the whole time, even after everything is brewed. A sound to get used to. Every time you take out the coffee pot, the coffee comes out. My old block never did that.
