Review on 🎧 High-Quality Pro-Ject T1 BT Turntable: Built-in Preamp & Wireless Audio Transmitter (Satin Walnut) by Christopher Tillman

Audiophile quality turntable at a good price

First. I had Project Primary and compare it to T1. The T1 is a new plug and play audiophile player, but the features it has are much more expensive. The T1 is a must-have turntable with a decent audiophile amp if you really want to hear its benefits. I use an Emotiva TA-100 amp and a pair of Dayton Audio MK442 "converted" monitors with a subwoofer. I also have an acrylic mat that improves the sound. The T1 version I use is the base model. The ORIGINAL glass top (as found on Rega turntables) improves sound quality by using weight to stabilize speed, while the viscous fluidity of the glass produces a superior level of vibration and reflection reduction found on more expensive turntables is. Don't let its subtle appearance fool you. It has enough capacity to produce an almost silent sound level. The substrate uses anti-vibration materials and reinforced ribs, and touches the glass top at the edges to further reduce vibration transmission. The microfiber board (MDF) base has a minimal number of holes and the back rests on a brass bearing and bushing has a tolerance of 0.0001 inch. (Mounting the auxiliary sheave spindle in the sleeve actually holds air pressure when it is inserted and you have to wait for the air pressure to be released before it lowers completely. HOW accurate it is! The cables that come with it aren't cheap. Those are Cables low impedance quality cables.A protractor for leveling and a needle pressure scale are included if you want to tinker with them, but the turntable needs to be factory leveled and pressure adjusted.Honestly mine did NOT come installed. It doesn't really matter to me as I was going to test it anyway . Just to be sure. The tonearm has brass bearings. And they're light, with no resistance. But oddly enough, there's no anti-skating. The tonearm adjustment is actually not really optimized for skating (so most say. There's no counterforce, the Zentro prevents emissive force, but a downwardly falling load is used, putting the balance point at the spring leg and at the pinion bearings slightly behind the pivot point, reducing centripetal force. (Don't believe me?) Tie the mother to the leash. Make a loop of thin stiff wire and use putty to secure the bottom to the base at an angle so the loop is sticking up. Wrap one end of the string, thread it through the wire loop, attach it to the head body and place the nut on the digital scale. Drop the stylus onto the acrylic mat (you can do this without damaging the record) and measure the force as the string stops the arm and pulls on the string. It turned out there was 0.04 grams of centripetal force at 2 grams of downforce on the stock om5e. The Om is a pickup that is an excellent tracker with above average ability to stay in the groove. Testing with headphones, I didn't notice the usual distortion caused by too much centripetal force acting on the inner groove. He does what he has to do. Breaking a record now is a different story. It won't stop you from jumping for damage. But even if you tried to use more force if you could. this can lead to distortions. Overall, post-test, the Pro-Ject T1's sound quality is fantastic if you have the hardware to allow it to play what it can give, and given that other turntables that use real glass platters can cost twice as much , I think that T1 offers the best value for money and works!

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

There is a problem with quality control
