I adopted a wonderful little dog 6 months ago. But soon we started to have problems. She loves to bark! She barks at birds, squirrels, no matter what. I yap, yap, yap every time I let them out on the street or on our deck. This began to have a profound effect on our autistic son. It got to a point where he just couldn't take it anymore. In desperation, I first tried a cheap bark collar that beeped, vibrated, and then shocked. It had absolutely no effect on her. I decided on this collar based on the reviews. I was a little nervous as she is a small dog weighing 13lbs and can be a bit shy. I had a little trouble getting it around her neck properly. It should be tighter than I first thought but once I got it right this thing works so great! I take it off and give her the recommended breaks and take it off when she is home and at night. The initial shock is not so severe that she is frightened, but at first she will continue to bark and build up until she stops. Now she has learned not to bark at all! This collar saved us! My son is happy and I have the dog I always wanted! My advice, don't bother with cheap stuff, BUY THIS COLLAR!
