I did not order this product for roosters or goldfish, but for sea monkeys. Can't tell if this is a suitable home for fish. However, I bought this product hoping that it would be 12.5 inches in diameter and 11 inches in height. I wanted to give my sea monkeys more space and transition them by submerging a typical sea monkey tank into a new tank. The tank I received in the mail was 4.2 x 4.2 x 5.7 inches as described. The product's circumference is about 12.5 inches, not in diameter. For those of you who need to know: diameter is the measurement of a line through the center of a circle from side to side (2-radius is the diameter), perimeter is the distance around the edges of the circle. circle (on the actual circle line). This is a big difference in tank description and very misleading. Also, the height wasn't about 11 inches. In fact, it's about the height of a standard monkey tank. So if you're looking for an 11" x 12.5" model, don't buy it. If you are looking for 4.2 x 4.2 x 5.7 inches then this is it.
