Good multi-purpose speakers

These speakers do their job perfectly. Premium multi-port bookshelf speakers. You pay a little more for the design and connections, but overall the sound quality is worth it and they're great speakers for watching TV or just listening to music. I don't find them harsh or shrill, but on a few songs with shrill vocals I cut the high frequencies. Bass is precise and punchy where it needs to be, but not too low, which isn't surprising given these are bookshelf speakers with 5.25-inch woofers. The subwoofer's passive output filter compensates for the lack of bass, as it appears to be designed to be paired with a subwoofer when the listener needs more bass below 50Hz. You can still watch movies on them without a subwoofer, but it would greatly benefit from having one. Most music can be heard without the subwoofer connected as the bass is strong on its own but not in the subwoofer area. Pros: - Good sound quality - Great for movies, clear voices - Great subwoofer function with built-in passive filter at 80Hz (thanks Canto) - Good remote control with high, low and low frequencies (remote feels good) - Excellent connectivity - Good Soundstage - Clean aesthetic (I personally like the recessed aluminum drivers) - The LED lighting on the speaker can be adjusted to dim or turn off entirely at night using the remote. (The LED will flash when you adjust volume, treble, etc. to indicate your command has been received). to move to home theater in the future by adding a center channel etc. (later on I will use these as computer speakers and buy a home theater kit)
