Review on StarTech Com Bracket Equipment Mounting WALLMOUNT6 by Julian Davidson

I bought this rack unit because I was starting to buy new equipment for my personal music/recording studio. I currently have an Avid Eleven Rack and a BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer as rackmount effects. Let me just say this device is a beast and tough as a tank. As seen in the pictures, it fits perfectly in my FX rack with 3 extra slots (Rack 11 uses 2 slots by itself) and still has enough space for my old Mac Mini and my Behringer audio interface (U-Phoria UMC204HD) . ). The top is open but I found a perfect sized spare shelf and had to put my HD monitor on top of the whole setup. The strut comes pre-assembled with a stabilizer bar and you're ready to go. In a fairly large box, I received a stand, a one-page instruction manual in a plastic envelope, and all the necessary accessories wrapped in bubble wrap and attached to the device itself. In other words, I just needed plenty of space for cable management and ventilation on the back of the unit. The kit includes enough rack screws, jam nuts and washers to install 3 or 4 rackmount effects. It would be nice if they also included enough space for the rest of the equipment shelf (6 FX racks total) but that's definitely not a deal breaker and not worth deducting the star rating. If you want to get into Rack FX yourself, give this villain a try. You will not regret it.
