Disappointing metallics... very unreliable.

This KXAMELIE Toucan Play That Game Palette is HUGE! There are so many eyeshadows to choose from at the top and bottom of the palette... and loads of blush and highlights in the middle. Two blushes and three highlights are very pigmented and definitely for those with deeper skin than me. The shadows, on the other hand, are mostly applied to the eyelids, which are lighter than they look in pans. So I really don't know who this palette is for because some of these shadows will look very ashy on deeper skin. My favorite mats. They are easy to mix and match. Metallic was a big disappointment. They must be applied with a sponge applicator. I tried using my pinky and the shadows wouldn't leave my finger and stick to the matte shadows on my eye. When I finally applied the metallic eyeshadow with the included sponge applicator, it was very flaky and textured. It wasn't a very good prospect. And I usually like textured shadows that add volume... but usually with glitter/shimmer. These metallics just looked sloppy and made my eyelids look old and wrinkled. I'm definitely not talking about this life. There are also a lot of pressed glitters in this palette, and pressed glitters are not considered safe on the eyes in the US. Overall I was disappointed with this palette. I don't think it was a necessary addition to my collection. This palette is probably best suited for someone who is very young and just starting out in makeup who wants to play around with a bunch of different eyeshadow colors. I do not recommend giving this palette to makeup lovers.
