Works much better than laptop mic

Works much better than built in laptop mic when you are 6 or 12 feet away. (Note that the built-in cable on this unit is 6ft, and I bought an inexpensive 6ft USB extender at the same time so I can test 12ft.) It was plug and play, and just choose the USB microphone in your software from B. Zoom. . Both the laptop mic and remote mic work well at 1 or 2 feet, but of course only the USB mic allows you to be within a foot of yourself as well as 12 feet from your laptop. The USB mic works much better at 6 and 12 feet. Feet away from the USB microphone. When I placed the USB mic 12ft from the laptop AND ALSO stood 12ft from the mic (to simulate a classroom) the sound wasn't perfect and there was some hiss but it was MUCH better than the pinhole mic for a Laptop. Note. If the speakers are at different distances (2ft, 6ft) it will take a few seconds for the microphone to pick up and capture the volume for the new speaker. may also include a speaker, but it doesn't. I think this could be called a duplex system and by comparison they seem to be in the 2x price bracket.
