I curl my hair several times a month. It usually lasts 3 to 4 days. From day 3 I almost always have to retouch. With one touch I get a few more days. A good dry shampoo between washes is enough to keep my hair looking fresh. My trusty curlers that I've had since I was 13 are gone for good. Obviously they don't make them anymore. So it was an opportunity to buy a new set that would take up less space. There are 12 curlers in total. 6 an inch and 6 an inch and a half. They come with 12 clips to hold the curlers in place. What I like. 1. Hair rollers heat up very quickly. 4-5 minutes and you're ready to go.2. Easy to roll into my hair.3. Stay in place with clips.4. Roll out easily. There is no need to rip them out. 5. Gives beautiful soft beach style curls.6. With thermal protection and setting spray curls for the last time.7. I can do other things while the curls are in place.8. My hair looks soft and smooth. not fluff. What I did not like. 1. Can only heat 6 hair curlers at a time. Being able to heat just 6 curlers isn't a bad thing, nor is it uncomfortable, as it takes less than 5 minutes to heat them up. So I roll the first 6 in my hair, then while the other 6 heat up I brush my teeth or throw the clothes in the washing machine. I just make something that only takes a few minutes and voila, you're done. These curlers do not give tight or small curls. This type of curler is designed to give more waves or volume. If you have thicker hair this amount of curlers won't be enough so make sure to get 2 sets if you still want them. Fine to normal thick hair is sufficient. I personally like to use 2 different barrel sizes (I even do this with an automatic curling iron) because the curls look more natural. Half an inch difference gives variation. I don't use more than a half inch difference because then it starts to look like a bad curl job. lol. To keep your curls longer, use a heat protectant and a setting spray. The heat protectant also doubles as a foundation retainer to help my hair frizz faster. The fixing spray keeps them in place. Never brush your curls. Just use your fingers (gently). Curling hair takes time and when I do it I want it to last as long as possible. I would 100% buy this set again. I like the results it gives.
