This product is a valve that opens to the sides when there is no pressure left on the source side to keep the valves closed. I had a problem with hoses that lay in the sun and exploded from the pressure increase. To prevent this, this can be prevented if the pressure rises higher than the source pressure (if the faucet stays on and is controlled by a sprayer, as in our setup), as the sun will heat the water inside, relieving the pressure can be through the pages.
