I bought this tool to check and make sure the GFCI socket I was replacing was powered off. This tool is easy to use, just turn it on and then press the S button to adjust the sensitivity, which causes it to glow near an outlet that is powered and plugged into power. There's also a highlight button that illuminates the area you're working on. I would recommend this tool if you plan on working with an outlet to make sure the power is off. Without checking, you can be electrocuted if you are ungrounded and working live. Play it safe and get this device that can save your life and hands from the shock of your life which can also be fatal. This is my honest opinion and I rate this gadget 5 STARS.
