We have been using this moka pot for a while. When we first received it I gave it a thorough cleaning as I was expecting metal shavings during the manufacturing process. Metal filings still appear months after use. It looks like the metal filter that sits behind the silicone o-ring will rub against the metal bowl when you tighten the Moka bowl. After a few uses, if you remove the o-ring and examine the metal filter, you will notice a dark metal ring along with shiny metal flakes. We will not be using this moka pan again.
