Recently my client needed to bring home a working computer and two larger monitors. Because my client's desktop space was limited, her initial setup with two monitors on a Linux PC and adding a working dual monitor, laptop, and docking station didn't work. Something was needed. I solved the problem by setting up KVM with two monitors, which allowed only a couple of higher quality monitors to be used between both systems. Unfortunately, their Linux PC only had 1 DVI digital output and 1 VGA analog output. KVM required VGA. This adapter worked right out of the box. In the OS settings, all you had to do was make the normal settings for the size and orientation of the monitor and everything was great. No fuss, no fuss. If you don't need more than the 1080p that this adapter offers, I can recommend it as an effective yet inexpensive solution.
