Really great adapter.

This cable is SOOOOO much better than those chunky monoblocks that stick out 6 inches from the back of the GPU. It attaches solidly and the part that attaches to the VGA monitor cable wiggles freely, giving the monitor cable a few inches more slack and providing a better, less stressful connection. It also has screw holes to hold the VGA end securely. Much higher quality than I expected, solid nice performance. Meets my needs exactly.

Best available deal - takes the strain off the port and works fine

Glad I bought this adapter to connect my new computer to my home KVM switch - it delivers great *HD* video Reliable signal , the first time and every time - you can really feel that it is made of quality parts that will last almost forever, even before you plug it in. I would happily buy it again and would even recommend it to my mother. There is no better offer anywhere. You can buy with confidence, Cheers! --jm

Works with no problems Plug and Go

Plug and Play, hangs on PC which is good because you don't waste your wall space. The only issue that isn't a problem is that the PC recognizes audio streaming from it. A few adjustments in the settings when the program tries to set VGA to main sound. Considering it was only 7 doll hairs and it's a DVI cable it's not really the cable's fault, it thinks it can play sound but they could plug in an audio jack so the sound can actually be transmitted. Since I never expected it to output audio, this

Doesn't work with all (old?) DVI outputs.

Better check that your DVI output is DVI-D (digital) and not DVI-A (analog). (DVI-I works with both.) My old Radeon X300/X550/X1050 video adapter has a VGA output port and a DVI output port connected to two monitors with a VGA cable and a DVI cable. I bought this Ablewe DVI to VGA adapter to use a VGA cable with a second monitor that has a VGA input alongside the DVI input. (I needed an extra VGA cable.) Ablewe's adapter didn't work at first, possibly because the Radeon's DVI output was analog.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Functionality

Now that all kids are homeschooled, we're all reusing our old monitors. Even an old 19" Dell LCD with a resolution of 1024x768 circa 2000. (Having zoom meetings on a small screen is helpful to free up the big screen for actual work.) The old graphics card was fine, but with a recent birthday and when the kid put all his birthday money into the new card, we belatedly discovered that the new card did not have a VGA output. The existing adapter that I somehow dug out of the electronics bin was DVI

Worked great without breaking the bank.

Recently my client needed to bring home a working computer and two larger monitors. Because my client's desktop space was limited, her initial setup with two monitors on a Linux PC and adding a working dual monitor, laptop, and docking station didn't work. Something was needed. I solved the problem by setting up KVM with two monitors, which allowed only a couple of higher quality monitors to be used between both systems. Unfortunately, their Linux PC only had 1 DVI digital output and 1 VGA…

Ok, but with a few problems.

I got this because my new graphics card only has DVI and HDMI but HDMI is used for my second monitor and my first monitor has DVI and VGA connectors but I only had a VGA cable at hand. That said, in order to use my first monitor with my new graphics card, I had to either buy a DVI cable or an adapter like this one. I chose this one because it was a dollar cheaper than the nearest DVI-D cable of the length I needed. For the most part it worked as expected. The only problem is that when my…
