We have a 2012 Ford F-150 Latiat and we live in a big city in Arizona. The dealer charged over $200 for this operation. We both have original keys. Needed new keys as the remote unlock function button on both of our key fobs was worn out. We bought one from Revain to test. It was so easy and cheap. Lowe's and Home Depot were NOT able to shorten the key. Ace Hardware did and only took $1. yes 1 dollar The key alone would lock the door but not unlock it. Goed through the steps stated on the supplier's website that Sch came with a key to program both the key and the remote. Note: These are separate steps and we both have initial keys. EVERYTHING works: keyless locking/unlocking, remote start, alarm button and driver 1/driver 2 settings. We recommend and look forward to the arrival of our second key. Be patient! This is a process. Just read all the instructions BEFORE you start the process and it will go smoothly.
