Review on Olympus WS-822 Blue Voice Recorder | 4 GB Internal Memory for Enhanced Performance by Vashod Reed

I bought this device to record conversations between a group of four and exhibitors during a trade show visit. There is always a lot of background noise on this show so I didn't know what to expect. Despite being a few feet from the speakers at times, the voice recorder picked up voices clearly enough for me to hear and explain comments on a freelance writing job I was working on. It's small and comfortable. The biggest problem: The manual that came with the device is bad, to say the least. There is a filesystem for storing different segments of discussions, but it was difficult to figure out. Also, while listening to recordings, if I tried to save a segment to listen to again, it would jump back to the beginning. I still haven't found fast forward. I'm sure these basic functions are there, I just can't find them. Someone more "techie" than me would probably rate this higher. After all, the battery was empty earlier than expected when used at a trade fair; I had a spare but I wasted time and comments on changing it.
