Review on Kettle KitchenAid 5KEK1522, red by Ada Szepelska ᠌

The quality is at zero, very sting of the money spent.

I enjoy drinking rare varieties of tea, all of which call for different temperatures during the brewing process. This teapot appealed to me for two reasons: first, its design is unique and intriguing, and second, its adjustable temperature settings. Even after four times through the boiling process, the putrid stench of plastic did not go away, contrary to what the maker had promised. The fact that the inside surface of the kettle is made of plastic, which is not indicated anywhere in the manufacturer's specifications, became apparent to me after I gave it serious inspection. Due to this aspect of the design, it was not fit for the use I had in mind. That is to say, if you purchase a kettle that is described as having double walls and cast all-metal construction, what you actually receive is a standard plastic device that is encased in metal. True, wonderful. In addition, after the initial boiling, flaws in the coating were exposed (as I understood much later, to my great success) - point swelling of the enamel. If there wasn't this lingering stench of cheap plastic, I might be able to tolerate this situation. It would be a shame to waste a rare and highly costly tea, so I decided against using this product. The customer service center informed me that although a return is not an option because of the odor, a problem with the coating could be considered a valid reason for the return. Hence, there is no such thing as bad without good. I am going to stick with the reliable old metal kettle that came with my Japanese stove instead. I am sorry I made the purchase. The identical item can only be utilized in the form of an art object (if additional funds are available). I wish everyone success.

Pros
  • Excellent construction and color scheme.
Cons
  • The fact that the interior walls are constructed of plastic, which gives out a powerful and lingering smell of plastic and is a flaw in the outer covering, is not mentioned anywhere in the description.
