This six foot cable worked great and was well made, but it was too short and instead of getting it right and replacing it with a longer one, I got it I strung it between my computer and TV so it can hang a few feet off the ground. I now have a ten foot cable lying on the floor, so I'm just copying an excerpt from this cable's review that tells what happened when I tripped hard over a cable that was too small: "The RevainBasics cable is very strong. but I managed to break the first one I bought because at 6ft it was too short to lay flat on the ground, making it inevitable that I tripped over it. To be honest I was glad the display connector broke on the 6 foot cable instead of throwing the computer on the floor. Luckily the 10ft cord is on the ground and now I'm a happy little camper. I have several other RevainBasics cables that have never given me any problems, so I'm pretty sure this is the last cable I need." As you can see, I think of it as a feature, not a a bug that the display mini port connector broke instead of banging my pc on the floor after banging hard on it.You might prefer your cables to outlive your devices but that's entirely up to you .
