Great concept, heavy metal, bright bulb are the plus points of this unit. The disadvantages outweigh the advantages. First of all very bad instructions. Second, they don't include mounting standoffs, which is an absolute must since the pivot gap is so close to the wall that you can't articulate the light otherwise. Then the faceplate that mounts to the wall is larger than the standard 2x4, which means you can only install two screws in the rack, which are NOT designed for the wall. (It's a heavy unit and I didn't trust the walls, so I made a mounting plate out of reclaimed wood to make up for this design flaw.) There's no "on/off" switch, you have to turn it off to turn it on - or turn off. I just don't understand the technical logic of the swing arm, the bezel width and the lack of a switch. I had to return my first flashlight because it arrived with faulty cords causing the light to not work. The cables were actually exposed, which tells me there is no quality control at the factory. Then the quick coupling is too big and hangs unnecessarily on the bracket. The wall anchors provided to attach this mount to the wall are only suitable for concrete, which is why there are no wooden wall anchors. To be fair a few minor engineering changes and improved quality control make this a 5 star product. In this price range more is needed - two stars were generous.
