I chose this primarily for video work but would also make a great steady LED light for photography. I love being able to easily change colors, saturation and brightness with the app. It's also very easy to change the white balance from cool blue to warm yellow. See the photos for some examples of different colors and then 5500K white daylight in my little studio. You can also see some screenshots of the Neewer app, which allows you to control the light remotely. The barn doors can be used to block light from a specific direction if you wish and there is also a removable diffuser if you wish. I like a sharper and more direct light source. The app also allows you to set up the playback of various light "scenes", such as: B. the flickering of a candle or various police and ambulance lights. If you want, this can be a cool effect for certain video scenes. Finally, in addition to the power source, you can use batteries to bring this thing to the place. Other LEDs are battery operated too, but this one puts out such good light and has all the RBG options that it will be my main video light for a while.
