Review on 📱 SCOSCHE MPQ2OH-XTSP Magnetic Phone Mount Charger for Mobile Devices - MagicMount by Charles Collier

BEST ON THE MARKET - You get what you pay for - powerful suction cup, magnets and charger

I have tried different types of phone holders for my Samsung Galaxy S8+ (Beast). They either failed, falling off where I installed the suction cup (suction cup failure), or the mechanical retaining clips holding the phone itself upright failed, cracked plastic from stress, failure of clamping ability. I've had one that actually fell apart - perhaps due to the phone's size and weight, or perhaps poor workmanship - neither of these will charge the phone wirelessly either. Now Scosche isn't the cheapest option - it's in a high price range and I don't usually go there unless there's a reason - well, after lots of research and reviews - I decided to give it a try - the first one I've had Bought locally so I could touch it and physically look around before spending that much money on a phone holder/charger. But when you see and hold this product in your hands you can see the build quality and materials - weight, build structure, workmanship and components/materials used, as well as the perfection of build tolerances, fit and finish. right places for strength, durability and quality. Well how does this work? We have two, one for the wife and me. First time I used a suction cup mount on the dashboard (on other brands I used the windshield for better grip). This product had a very wide, sticky and strong suction cup with a lock, so I tried it on a more difficult to stick surface of the dashboard - after cleaning according to the detailed instructions. It worked once during a heat extreme of 95+ heat and 90%+ humidity that lasted almost 2 weeks straight - which is to be expected in these extreme temperatures with the car windows closed, parked in the driveway in the sun for days without driving and A/C. After putting it back in and driving it on all sorts of road surfaces (from flat freeway to potholes, bumper to bumper, Jersey Shore traction was flawless. Charging and magnetic mount - my only complaint is that Scosche was able to supply twice the number of metal plates ( 2 sets per size/type instead of 1) firstly because of necessity and secondly because of the price paid - these plates are not expensive to manufacture and it's difficult to find matching and working plates on the aftermarket. Why do you think?Because I Bought a new case for the S8+ (Otterbox Strata wallet case - see separate review) - it's a robust one te, thick leather case like a wallet, also very high quality, but also much thicker/firmer than the old plain plastic snap cover/guard. I was concerned that wireless charging through this material and the magnetic force through the same would be an issue, especially given the location (small area) on Samsung phones for wireless charging - the base charger is only about 1/8-3/16"gap". top/bottom and sides/sides - the phone must be properly oriented to start charging - add (or remove) the addition of rectangular metal plates, one on top and one on the bottom, as well as placing the camera and fingerprint reader on the back of the phone and you have to be very careful when placing the metal plates (you really can't remove them once they're in place and the glue has set - again, why bother with an extra set You don't mount these plates on top of the actual phone - the cover mount either inside between the phone and the cover if the cover is thin enough, or outside on the back of the cover like in my case with the Otterbox Strata. The magnets hold the phone in place stands upright and secure and once aligned, will the phone charge wirelessly in line?Yes, in both cases - the magnets are great ig - excellent durability = phone never fell out of charger/holder due to slipping magnet aging - only once when suction cup failed, not magnets - as for charging - through that very thick Otterbox cover - yes - like mine too internal wireless desktop charger, which does not bounce in the car and is very slippery on the surface, so the phone will move if you blow on it too hard. S8 + ) - not necessary. I don't recommend trying to point the phone while driving - it's too distracting, and in my case I can't get that far without unbuckling my seatbelt. In my case the navigation isn't through the cell, it's a separate car system with a big screen, but if I had to use the phone screen I probably wouldn't use the Otterbox cover since the front cover on the Otterbox - would have to wrap around it flipping it back over the back covers would be too thick for magnets and charging - so I'd use an old open-faced plastic phone case while driving (the old metal plates are still there) and use an Otterbox for when I get out of the car - Swap body uncomplicated in the truest sense of the word. worst possible case I can think of - thick Otterbox leather case/protector, with very delicate small Samsung wireless charging area on the back of the phone - this is a worst case test and Scosche passed with flying colors - it accepts mine too double the output Current car adapters for 12V fast charging (cigarette lighter adapters) have higher amperage and faster charging than most conventional cigarette lighter USB converters and newer cars with built-in USB charging ports - you want your phone to perform at its maximum - in my case 2 amps. The product comes with a 12V car adapter that also offers high amperage for fast charging (2 amps) and different sockets for different mounting options - this is a complete kit, there are also cable holders to route the USB cable from the Connect the back of the magnet holder/charger to a power source, whether connecting directly to a USB socket or using the included 12 volt to USB socket converter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THE BEST PRODUCT OF THIS TYPE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE - PRICED REASONABLE CONSIDERING RELIABILITY AND CONSTRUCTION, and it holds and charges the phone - at the same time. Chris
