Amazing for the price!

It's hard to find a bluetooth controller kit for only $20, so it's a pretty good deal. Like most kits, this kit is either assembled from regular Chinese parts or is simply a rebrand of a Chinese kit. It's nothing to fear like most kits, even Opt7's AURA kits seem to be of the same quality at a much higher price. Pros: β€’ Outstanding brightness. SMD 5050 LEDs work wonders. β€’ Easy installation for those who just want to install through the cigarette lighter. β€’ "Music Modes" actually work quite well, which is rare with Chinese kits. "Music modes" also have a sensitivity setting. β€’ The kit is fully functional when delivered in proper packaging. β€’ I have not used the instructions provided other than trying to figure out how to adjust the "music mode" sensitivity, but the instructions seem fairly complete and easy to follow. β€’ After disassembling the cigarette lighter plug there is actually a 3A fuse (F3A250V) directly in contact with the pin that contacts the positive cigarette lighter contact, so this kit is indeed reasonably safe electrically. .β€’Bluetooth! It is very difficult to find a bluetooth kit at this price. β€’ The Bluetooth app works very well. The only thing I found a bit buggy was the "music mode" controls in the app. Sometimes these modes wouldn't work when I changed the sensitivity in the app. Disadvantages: β€’ The only way to get power - from the cigarette lighter. In order not to occupy the cigarette lighter I cut the wires from the cigarette lighter going to the RF control unit and then soldered/welded those wires to their own power and ground. In case anyone is wondering, I used a fuse tap for 12v power and then found an auxiliary ground behind the dash. I drive a 2011 Scion TC. Be sure to use some sort of 3A fuse when rewiring your kit. If you cannot find a 3A fuse, a 5A fuse is best β€’ It is not possible to disconnect the light bars and their cables from the RF Controller Box. All light strips return to a wire that is hardwired to the box. This makes it a bit more difficult to run wires through the car, as you have to run all of the light strips through the car, not just their wires.
