So far, so good. I've read that some had issues with it not charging as quickly. Little did they know it was a low current charger. If you're reading Ring's instructions, you should fully charge the battery prior to installation. My house is 128 years old. The original doorbell was installed in a later extension. He was very old and no longer worked. I tried replacing the transformer but with my broken back I wasn't flexible enough to do it. However, with this I was able to pull out the existing wires and make the ring look like it was always there. The bell that was original had been painted over so many times that it couldn't be removed without causing an entirely different problem. So far my battery has held a full charge!
