After receiving the ms609bt directly from autel, I took it out of the box and checked the serial numbers on the box the tool came in. Then I called Autel Corporation and got it. checked the serial numbers and determined that this is not a tool for the North American region, they stated that they offer support and warranty repairs that are covered. Then they also told me that when registering the tool I might get a message saying the IP address has been blocked and I need to call them back and pay 20% of the cost of the tool to unblock the IP address using those servers. now the cost of the instrument increases to $285.00. They also stated that they had no chance to know if it would work until the time of registration. Of course, autel direct said that will not happen and it can be used anywhere. I'm returning the Tool for the North American version because I don't want to risk using it and can't return it. So I hope this isn't the case if you bought it to do so and good luck.
