Review on AKG K361BT Bluetooth Studio Headphones - Over-Ear, Closed-Back, and Foldable by Deva Raja (kamal) ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

Not ideal, but I'm wildly delighted! I got used to my Beyerdynamic DT770 for years, but somehow they were gone and I got by with what I got. But still I wanted to find something that sounded and there was a need for wireless headphones, which is somewhat more complicated, because. It is believed that do not expect good sound from Bluetooth. Therefore, it is very likely that the speakers themselves will be put worse. Ideally, I would like to simply put a Bluetooth wireless module into the DT770 Pro level headphones, even if it's idiocy. I tried different things, including the Sennheiser PXC 550 Travel - IMHO a complete failure in terms of sound, they can only play classics and something around it, clip on aggressive music. Also all sorts of Chinese options from Bluedio. I looked at the Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless. And so, my next Bluedio fell apart, again looked into the market in the hope of finding something that is not so terrible in sound. I was already ready to take the DT770 Pro again and screw the Bluetooth module to it. And then I stumble upon the new K361 / K371 and suddenly realize for myself - these are exactly the DT770 Pro level headphones, but there is a ready-made version with a Bluetooth module. For me, indicators of good sound are, first of all: 1) high detail of the scene, 2) realism of the sound of instruments / voices / sounds. And with this, the K361-BT is doing well. The sound is great, even considering that it's Bluetooth or a wired connection to a simple laptop sound system. I haven't finally decided on my Bluetooth rating - at first the sound seemed distorted, somewhat "softer" and some instruments sank a little in the scene, and music like rock loses its aggressiveness. But now I installed AAC support in my Linux, and it seems to have fixed the problem. I was also upset that the headphones are cut off when you connect them to charging. But I would like to continue listening to music, even if the battery is dead. Some headphones can do this, it's convenient, it's not clear why others don't. The microphone did not test, I put 5 in advance.

Pros
  • - Sound! SOUND and more SOUND! - Detailed scene - Relatively good sound insulation (although for me sometimes it's a minus - I can't hear the environment) - Comfortably sit - Battery life - Appears to be fairly reliable
Cons
  • - Bluetooth connection does not work when charging - Non-standard cable connector - Touch control - Inconvenient energy saving system - in the absence of sounds and playback, it turns off quickly enough (maybe 5 minutes, did not measure). You have to pull the power button on the headphones back and forth so that they turn on and connect again. For example, in Bluedio HT Wireless, this is implemented more elegantly - the headphones go into some sleep, from which they climb out when any sound appears on the source.
