The wake gesture works great and I find the activity tracking works very well. I'm no sleep expert, but the watch seems to know exactly when I go to bed and when I wake up. Not sure if it will interest me in the coming weeks. but for now it's pretty neat. However, I do have a few minor issues that I don't like that I may be able to overcome as I get more comfortable with the watch. Text messages I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and when I read my text messages on my watch, my phone doesn't mark the message as ready. I use Google Messages so it may not be compatible. But in my 2015 car I can read the message in the infotainment center and it is confirmed. That's not a big message. Deal but in my opinion it defeats the purpose of using your watch. I turned off most of the notifications I don't want to see. But I haven't figured out how to turn off the daily briefings or when my phone is out of range (it vibrates) or some other apps on the phone. Goodnight mode I like the goodnight mode. It seems to recognize when bedtime is approaching and gives you the option to toggle on or pause. But it doesn't always recognize when I get up. I find half the time I need to turn it off. Battery Life I know the 42 has a smaller battery, but I've been a bit disappointed with the battery life so far. I was in use for up to two days before needing a charge. My wait was 3 full days. Of course I see that often. Hopefully life will improve as I reduce my consumption.
