Pretty good device for the money and it cools very well but there are a few cons I've encountered but they are really minor I think. It doesn't really dehumidify like a regular dehumidifier and the humidity stays around 50-60% which I think is really good - it gets really really cold in dehumidifying mode. On a low setting it would have been a little quieter when sleeping, but I quickly learned to get used to it. Overall I would give this unit an excellent rating unless you intend to use it primarily as a dehumidifier. I also like not to empty the pot or bucket every day as the moisture evaporates from the hose. that the unit works MUCH better if you put a bowl or small bucket underneath and let it drain. There's no setting to maintain a specific level of humidity, but I've found that with the bowl in place and the humidifier installed, while this does a very good job of removing moisture, it's not as good as a regular dehumidifier. cools very well, ESPECIALLY in humidifier mode, but does NOT evaporate effectively through the exhaust hose, so an external bucket is recommended.
