Great option when there is no other choice - 2011 Toyota Prius
I recently bought a used 2011 Toyota Prius. When I got home in the car, I noticed that the front position lamp on the driver's side was not lit. A closer investigation into the cause revealed that the rodent (probably a mouse) had completely chewed through the wiring for the lighting jack/plug. Toyota does not offer any solutions for this. Instead of trying to find a used connector from a car at a junkyard I decided to try this article which turned out to be a simple and effective solution. The materials and construction of these connectors are similar to those used by Toyota in the vehicle. Worked great, no modifications necessary.
