I've been using this iron for about a week and I have to say - I like it! As another reviewer mentioned, since it's rounded and has a more conventional curling iron clip that you open to insert and release a strand of hair, it takes the guesswork out of how to hold it and the ease of use is much better. than trying to use a regular flat iron to get nice curls. I have very thick wavy or curly hair and this is great for morning makeup. Today I used it as an iron for the first time and it did not disappoint me in this respect either. Since you don't have control over how hard you pinch like you would with a regular iron, I figured it might not work, but the airflow keeps it cool enough to touch the outside and press harder. if you like - at least 390 degrees for about 30 minutes or so. The noise is not loud at all and you will hardly notice it when you start driving. I love knowing it's done when I hear the buzz when it starts and I don't just have to rely on the check engine light. In general the extra features you get with this iron + nice packaging + more than reasonable price + functionality and versatility of the iron itself makes it really great - great find!
