I have been using this material as an aircraft mechanic for over 20 years. . It is excellent for sealing in dry environments and over a wide temperature range. Keeps seals and o-rings conditioned so they don't dry out. It also makes it easy to attach and remove automotive hoses/vacuum lines as needed. It's expensive but worth it
