The camera will not work with the factory main unit until the dealer firmware is completed.
Installing the camera was easy and took about an hour. The right tool makes the job a lot easier. I agree with other reviews that the instructions leave a lot to be desired but a lot can be done. I used an Alpine rear camera cable.
