Some people say this case is quite thick, yes it's true it almost doubles the thickness of the phone, that's the whole point of protecting a thousand dollar phone! It's a double cover, a strong inner plastic liner that holds the phone in place, and then an outer rubber sleeve on top of that durable plastic. I only wear 511 tactical pants and this phone case fits easily in my front pockets and I use it with an iPhone 8 Plus. So it's quite a big phone, not tiny at all. As I already use a tempered glass screen protector I personally don't like the plastic cover so I carefully cut it out and removed it from mine. I've found it goes through the plastic and then the protective glass cover, seems to have a slightly delayed response. I believe if you're just using an Otter cover and not a tempered glass screen protector, this device will work absolutely fine. This is the only reason I gave the touchscreen one star. I have been using Otter products for many years, great products.
