Cats continued to sleep on my Ikea bathmats, suggesting they liked the texture (bumpy, like they had fingers). I have been disappointed with store bought traditional cat beds because they are difficult to wash and dry. So I took inspiration from cats and bought more bath mats. They slide off things like my window sills so I needed something to hold them. Enter the basket with rope, it is soft and flexible. I fold an Ikea bath rug in half and place it in the basket. The cats love it. I should have bought more. They love the fact that they can slide the sides in any direction they want, so the baskets look round but are actually oblong. For the scales, a brown cat weighs 10 pounds and a white cat weighs 14 pounds.
