Nobody pays me to review this product. This is my personal review on the subject. This is a good electric pressure cooker. I had my first electric pressure cooker (instant pot) about 5 years ago and had a lot of fun with it. High quality devices (All-Clad, Breville, Instant Pot Max) give you more freedom in psi selection. to your liking. I personally bought the Breville version and loved it, but had to return it after a few days because I feel like the teflon coating is chipping off over time. If you look at Breville and All-Clad, notice that the inner pot is coated with Teflon. I think that the model you see in the store (Walmart, Bestbuy) is actually good enough for 90% of all consumers. If you're in that 90% of the population (because you don't learn how to cook a new dish every week, which most of us are), then choosing a pressure cooker comes down to several criteria1. Easy to clean2. Good design that lasts a long time 3. Easy to use4. Aesthetics5. Price This Gourmia GPC965 meets many requirements, but it also has disadvantages.1. Easy to clean: The inner bowl is made of stainless steel and is actually quite easy to clean. If something gets stuck at the bottom due to overheating, just moisten it with water and it usually comes off very easily for me.2. Construction: It's built pretty well. I wish the knot was stronger. However, I used the Breville 200+ version of the pressure cooker and wasn't impressed with its knot design either. Compared to the Breville I would say the Gourmia has a little more plastic but it still looks great. But if you take away the plastic part, this Gourmia is just as well built as the Breville. As for all other pressure cookers, I think they are on par, if not better, than most pressure cookers in this price range. Most pressure cookers in this price range have that thin sheet of plastic covering the knob. I've used enough small tools to know that the flimsy sheet of plastic wears out much quicker than a knot or a raised regular button. Although most knots or raised buttons are still plastic, it still outperforms thin film coated buttons. If you look at Instant Pot, you'll see that most of their models have a thin film on the buttons. It should also be noted that the inner shell is made of stainless steel. It will last longer than a Teflon lined inner pot (like Breville). I believe all Instant Pot inner pots are stainless steel, so Gourmia is just as good as the Instant Pot when it comes to the inner pot.3. Ease of use: It's really just personal preference and we all know that even if it's different than what you're used to, you'll use it a few times and get used to it. My opinion on this gourmia is that it is very simple and easy to get used to. At the same time, I have not yet seen small devices that are so cumbersome to use. Unless all the buttons, nodes or menus are in a different language, which I just don't understand. It should be noted that this device has a short cord. Be aware if this bothers you. GREAT PLUS: This unit has a button that you have to press to release steam, and not many pressure cookers in this price range have this feature. This feature comes in handy when you don't want to wait long to open the lid or don't want to manually fiddle with the snap knot at the top of the lid.4. Aesthetics: Looking over there, I think the nicest pressure cookers are All-Clad, then Breville, then Instant Pot max. And if you've done your research, they're all in the 200+ range. I decided to pick the one with the most Knots, most steel around the structure, and most LCD screens. This gourmia is what I find. To distinguish it from the rest of the pressure cooker, just look at the Gourmia lid, it's wrapped in a layer of metal (if not metallic then at least shiny)5. Cost: This isn't the cheapest pressure cooker, nor is it the most expensive. I believe this is a price that is acceptable to most people. Comparing all the pressure cookers in this price range, Gourmia is the best looking and has more features. With knots, a real button and a stainless steel inner pot, this gourmia should last quite a while.
